Project

Friul Mosaic contributed to the renovation of the common areas of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, a historic five-star hotel in the heart of the Principality. The project involved the creation of refined Art Nouveau mosaic compositions, covering a total surface area of 120 square meters. Completed over the course of three months, the project was designed to seamlessly integrate with the building's architecture, enhancing its original splendor through the expressive medium of mosaic.

The inspiration

Art Nouveau was the creative thread running through the project, echoed in the floors, walls, and the large glass skylight crowning the hotel's grand lobby. The flowing, ornamental lines evoke the elegance of early 20th-century decorative arts, establishing a dialogue with the building's historic character. The mosaics interpret this visual language with poise and balance, offering a rich aesthetic experience that captures the spirit and exclusivity of the place.

Materials

Marmi pregiati come Carrara, Bardiglietto, Bardiglio, Thassos e Nero Marquina sono stati abbinati a tessere smaltate veneziane realizzate a mano e dettagli in foglia d’oro 24 carati. Questa palette ha bilanciato sobrietà e splendore, sostanza e luminosità, creando superfici che brillano di riflessi e sottili contrasti cromatici. Una selezione di materiali pregiati, scelti per conferire un valore duraturo allo spazio.
The project was developed through a meticulous, multi-stage process: from the design and production of the tiles to the final on-site installation. Each mosaic was entirely handcrafted in the Friul Mosaic workshops, where artisanal expertise and attention to detail shaped every step of the process. The result is a work that reflects the excellence of Italian craftsmanship and brings the beauty of tradition to the heart of Monegasque hospitality.
