Design Miami Paris 2026

Design Miami is one of the world’s most influential platforms for collectible design, bringing together galleries, designers, artists, architects and collectors from around the globe. Positioned at the intersection of art, design and material research, the event provides an international context for works that explore new forms of expression and reconsider the relationship between object, space and material.

At Design Miami, Friul Mosaic will unveil La Plus Belle Matrice, a mosaic installation that explores the theme of origin through an immersive environment in which architecture, art and material converge. Inspired by the idea of the matrix as a generative principle of space and life, the work invites visitors to reflect on the first place of existence: an intimate and protective environment that becomes a metaphor for a shared human origin. 

Entirely handcrafted in artistic mosaic, La Plus Belle Matrice reinterprets an ancient technique through a contemporary spatial language. Each tessera contributes to the construction and perception of the environment, allowing mosaic to move beyond the role of surface treatment and become an integral architectural element. Through the installation, Friul Mosaic examines the relationship between material, light, craftsmanship and space, while exploring the continued relevance of mosaic within contemporary design practice.
